Questions about this tool
Will the result be exactly 300x300 pixels?
Yes. Every mode creates a 300-pixel-wide by 300-pixel-tall canvas. The result card shows those measured dimensions before download.
What is the difference between crop, fit, and stretch?
Crop fills the canvas without distortion and trims equally from the long edges. Fit keeps the full image and adds padding. Stretch fills the canvas but can distort proportions.
Does enlarging a small image add detail?
No. Upscaling creates more pixels through interpolation, but it cannot recover detail that is absent from the source image.
Is the image uploaded for resizing?
No. The browser decodes, resizes, previews, and exports the image locally. The source and output images are not sent to Peelaway.
