PPI is image sampling density at a chosen physical size; printer DPI is not identical. These calculations do not guarantee sharpness, color, bleed, crop, printer behavior, or lab acceptance.

Questions about this tool
How is photo print size calculated?
Divide each pixel dimension by the selected pixels per inch. A 3000×2400px image at 300 PPI calculates to 10×8 inches, or 25.4×20.32 centimetres.
Are PPI and printer DPI the same thing?
No. PPI describes image pixels allocated to each printed inch. Printer DPI describes physical ink or toner dots and can use several dots to reproduce one image pixel.
Does this guarantee print quality or lab acceptance?
No. The result is dimension arithmetic, not a quality guarantee. Viewing distance, source sharpness, interpolation, crop, bleed, color management, printer behavior, and lab rules still matter.
Is my photo uploaded or changed?
No. Optional image decoding stays in this browser tab and only populates width and height. The calculator does not upload the photo, change pixels, or rewrite resolution metadata.
