Compress an image to 100KB or less
Prepare an image for application forms and profile-photo upload limits. Peelaway automatically finds the highest JPEG or WebP quality under 100KB, reducing dimensions only when quality alone is not enough.
How it works
Choose an image
Open a JPG, PNG, or WebP file from your device.
Target 100KB
Choose JPEG or WebP. The browser searches for the highest quality at or below 100KB and scales dimensions only if required.
Verify and download
Check the measured output size and dimensions, then save the file for the form or upload that requires a 100KB ceiling.
What stays private here
- The source image is decoded in this browser tab.
- Canvas creates the output file on this device.
- No source image or output image is sent to Peelaway.
- Nothing from this utility is added to your Peelaway account.
Questions about this tool
Will the result be under 100KB?
Yes. The download is only presented after the browser produces a file at or below 100KB. The measured output size is shown before download.
Will Peelaway reduce the image dimensions?
The tool first searches JPEG or WebP quality levels at the original dimensions. It reduces width and height only when the lowest tested quality still cannot meet the 100KB limit.
What if the source image is already small enough?
If it is already at or below 100KB and matches the selected format, Peelaway keeps the original image bytes instead of adding another lossy encoding pass.
Is the image uploaded for compression?
No. Selection, encoding, size checks, previews, and downloads stay in the current browser tab. The source and output images are not sent to Peelaway.
Need to change what is in the image?
