Questions about this tool
Does this guarantee every output will be smaller?
No. A source may already be optimized, PNG uses a lossless browser-defined encoder, and a high quality setting can make an output larger. The result reports actual aggregate bytes before download.
Does compression change image dimensions?
No. This treatment preserves each decoded width and height and changes the encoding policy. Use the batch resizer when pixel dimensions also need to change.
What happens when I choose JPEG?
Every output is encoded as JPEG. Transparent source pixels are flattened onto white because JPEG has no alpha channel.
Are the images or ZIP uploaded?
No. Sequential encoding and ZIP assembly happen in this browser tab. Analytics receive only aggregate counts, dimensions, formats, quality, and byte sizes.
