Crop an image into a circle

Choose the exact square area for a round profile photo, avatar, or logo. Peelaway clips it into a transparent PNG locally in this browser tab.

How it works

01

Choose an image

Open a JPG, PNG, or WebP file from your device.

02

Set the circle area

Move the square crop with exact left and top coordinates, then choose its diameter in source pixels.

03

Verify and download

Inspect the round result and save a PNG whose pixels outside the circle are transparent.

What stays private here

  • The source image is decoded in this browser tab.
  • Canvas creates the output file on this device.
  • No source image or output image is sent to Peelaway.
  • Nothing from this utility is added to your Peelaway account.

Questions about this tool

Will the circle have a transparent background?

Yes. The output is a PNG with transparent pixels outside the circular edge, so the round image can sit on different backgrounds.

Can I choose which part of the image is inside the circle?

Yes. Enter the square area's left and top position plus its diameter. The complete square must remain inside the source image.

Is my photo uploaded for the circle crop?

No. The browser decodes, clips, previews, and exports the image locally. Neither the source nor the cropped output is sent to Peelaway.

Need to change what is in the image?
