Convert PNG to JPG in your browser
Choose a PNG, adjust JPEG quality, and download the converted image. Transparent areas are placed on white and the source file stays in this browser tab.
How it works
Choose a PNG
Select a .png image from your device.
Choose JPEG quality
Higher values retain more detail and usually create a larger file. Transparent pixels are composited onto white because JPEG has no alpha channel.
Download the JPG
Preview the result and save it with a .jpg extension.
What stays private here
- The source image is decoded in this browser tab.
- Canvas creates the output file on this device.
- No source image or output image is sent to Peelaway.
- Nothing from this utility is added to your Peelaway account.
Questions about this tool
What happens to transparent PNG areas?
JPEG does not support transparency. This converter places transparent areas on a white background before encoding the JPG.
Which JPEG quality should I use?
Start around 85%. Lower it when file size matters more, or raise it when you see visible compression artifacts in the preview.
Is my PNG uploaded?
No. The conversion runs locally in the current browser tab and does not send the source image to Peelaway's servers.
